Mike enjoys practicing in an extensive and unique range of areas of
law. His broad knowledge and experience has over many years
successfully served his clients as well as universities, colleges, law
students and professionals. He has been recognized over the years in
many ways:
- Certified by the Law Society as a Specialist in Criminal Law
- President of the Norfolk Law Association
- Certified as an Agent by the National Hockey League Players'
Association (NHLPA) and registered by the Professional Hockey Players'
Association (PHPA)
- Appointed by the Attorney General (Ontario) as an Assistant Crown Attorney
- Appointed by the Attorney General (Canada) as a Standing Federal Prosecutor
- Instructor for Law Society at Bar Admission Course (London) in Advocacy and Criminal Law
- Appearing in trials and appeals in Provincial and Superior Courts as well as the Court of Appeal
- Panel Member of Law Practice Management Section of Ontario Bar Association

Mike is active, enthusiastic, sports-minded and committed to his clients. He
understands the anxieties, pressures and complexities that face individuals
whether:
- charged with offences which can be severely penalized, or
- navigating the complexities of businesses and commercial activities, or
- athletes or parents who are considering the various junior
and major pro sports drafts, eligibility and contract concerns of
junior, professional and amateur sport.
Mike is thorough in his preparation as well as skillful and tactful
in negotiations. He works to get results early but is fully prepared to
take matters on to courts and arbitrations when necessary to protect or
advance a client’s interest.
